Hi, my name is Melas and I am a registered psychologist with the Australian Psychological Registration Board (AHPRA) and a registered Psychodramatist with the Moreno Psychodrama Society (Australia and Aotearoa). I have worked in the public, private and community sectors for the past 12 years and worked as a fully registered psychologist since 2009.

My clinical experience includes working mainly with adults with a range of presentations including depression, existential crisis, drug and alcohol issues, relationship difficulties and unhelpful patterns in relationships, social anxiety, eating disorders, emotional regulation difficulties, grief and loss and psychological trauma.

I have worked in the criminal justice system providing assessment and both individual and group based interventions. I have previous experience in both community mental health (group and individual interventions) and crisis assessment. I am registered with Medicare, TAC and Worksate.

My clinical interests including: Anger and aggression in men, Exploration of hidden or unspoken anger in women, Depression in men in there 50’s, Stabilisation of Psychological Trauma symptoms, Drug and Alcohol issues, Relationship dynamics and patterns, Therapeutic group work, Psycho-educational group work, Exploration of Workplace dynamics , Attachment difficulties & Conflicts within the self.

My clinical approaches include: Process orientated ‘talk therapy’, Mindfulness and relaxation strategies, The ’Action Method’ of Psychodrama, Schema Therapy techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Strategies, Cognitive Behavioural Strategies

I provide services under Medicare, TAC, Workcover, Employee Assistance Programs, Victims of Crime, Veterans Affairs.

My fee $150 per session (with a rebate of $84.80 with a Mental Health Plan) and I am available on:

  • Monday – Campaspe Family Practice, Kyneton
  • Thursday – The Elms Medical Centre, Bacchus Marsh
  • Friday – Allied Health Alliance, Gisborne
